Chief Compliance Officer Earns Designation

Fayetteville, NC (November 30, 2011)- Fayetteville resident and Chief Compliance Officer for Community Home Care & Hospice, Natalie Carter Sharpe, MSN, RN, CHC, successfully completes the Certified in Healthcare Compliance examination thus earning the “CHC” designation. Compliance professionals are tasked with assuring that healthcare providers follow federal, state and local regulations that govern the delivery of healthcare. The CHC examination was released in 2000 by the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) which exists to develop criteria for the determination of competence in the practice of healthcare compliance at a variety of levels.

Sharpe has been a registered nurse for nearly 20 years, with 15 of those being dedicated to home care and hospice. She previously served as the Vice President of Clinical Services for Community Home Care and Hospice where she played a major role in policy development, implementation and clinical systems review. Her past experiences include positions as Director of Quality Improvement, Staff Development Coordinator, Director of Admissions and Referrals, as well as regional and local management positions.

Sharpe received her Masters in Nursing Science from the University of Phoenix, her Bachelor's in Nursing Science from Fayetteville State University and an Associates Degree in Nursing from the College of the Albemarle. Sharpe is a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She lives in Fayetteville, North Carolina with her husband Victor and is very active in her church and community. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society for Nursing and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
